Brief Notes About Andrew

Everyone has an interesting and unique life journey, and mine has been no different. My first career was as an educator, working within both the private and public school systems in Calgary, Alberta. This included five years in a behaviour modification classroom called Secure Services, where I conducted a therapeutic educational program for youth experiencing critical life and family challenges. It was here that I learned the importance of two specific factors in any counselling interaction: safety and respect. One must feel safe, both physically and emotionally, as well as respected as an equal before any meaningful dialogue can take place.

Through the mentors I have had, as well as through my own experiences,  the critical nature of being clear has also become apparent. True health can only occur when one is clear about who he/she is, and is pleased and confident about the individual self.

I am married to my beautiful wife Jacquie, and we have twins in elementary school who keep us busy, in case we thought we had any spare time!
